A lot of people’s ideal vacation involves going to the beach. Lounging on a beautiful white sand beach with a soft tropical breeze and beautiful blue water is what many people long for when planning their getaways. It goes without saying that a great many people love the beach. They also love the beautiful clear blue water for water sports and snorkeling. Oddly enough, not every beach destination has perfectly blue, clear water, although most come very close. Many want to go to the fabulous beaches of California, but you won’t find blue water there. It’s more of a greenish color. If you are on a mission on your vacation to find the bluest, most perfect water in the world to plop your beach chair down next to, there are many places to go, and wherever you end up, you’re sure to have a fabulous time at any of these beautiful locations.
According to Travel and Leisure.com “It’s hard to find a spot on Lefkada Island [Greece] that doesn’t have spectacular views of the crystal clear Ionian Sea, but Egremnoi (or Egremni) beach on the west coast is particularly stunning… The deep blue waters that fill the caldera of the sunken volcano Mount Mazama help make Crater Lake [Oregon] one of America’s most beautiful lakes.
“Granite cliffs outline the crystalline water on Côn Sợn, the only inhabited island in the barely populated 16-island archipelago of Côn Đáo [off the coast of Viet Nam], one of the best secret islands on Earth.” Much further south,“A short boat ride from the largest barrier reef outside of Australia, Ambergris Caye (Belize) is a scuba divers’ and snorkeler’s paradise.” Lastly, “Off the coast of Cartagena lies a tiny chain of mostly uninhabited islands called the Islas de Rosario. The white sand beaches are lined with mangroves and the brilliantly deep blue waters are home to Colombia’s largest coral reef, which is home to over a thousand different tropical critters.”
